President of U.S. Cultural & Heritage Tourism Marketing Council to Serve on the National Council of Attractions Board of Directors
The President of the U.S. Cultural & Heritage Tourism Marketing Council (USCHT), Sheila Armstrong, has been invited to serve on the National Council of Attractions (NCA) Board of Directors. The NCA is a U.S. Travel Association organization that supports the attractions industry in promoting travel into and within the United States. It lends its collective strength to influence public policy and to provide leadership and a forum for information-sharing and education on issues impacting tourism. Armstrong also serves on the U.S. Travel Association Board of Directors.
“I am honored to represent the cultural and heritage tourism industry in both of these prestigious boards. With the cultural and heritage traveler generating over 90% of the leisure traveler’s economic value to our country, it is an opportunity to represent and support those who are developing and marketing cultural and heritage visitor experiences. Tourism is a major economic driver for our country and requires a strong, collective effort to insure that it not only survives but thrives,” says Armstrong.
