Old Fort Jackson is one of only eight Second System fortifications (a series of forts built prior to the War of 1812) still standing. It is known for its daily canon firing demonstrations. Take a trip back in time as you explore the old casements and see the muskets and ammunition from the wreck of the Civil War ironclad CSS Georgia.
